Client Brief:

The logo is for a carnival called ‘FLOATING CARNIVAL’ that’s a bit of a parade on the water. Ok, it’s fun, funky and international. So it’s gotta have that oomph factor/element but children need to relate to the brand. It’s where sponge bob meets virgin airlines/coca cola.

This is a concept I came up with for this brief, which was ultimatley dismissed as being too childish. I still like it a lot though. I was inspired by the National Lotto Rebrand, of which I am a huge fan.

From the client brief:

Southwest Riverside County Association of REALTORS® (SRCAR) is looking to update their look, starting with a new logo. The design will be used on business cards, letterhead, the web site, and everywhere else the logo will be needed. The logo should express confidence, professionalism, and organization, since we are a trade organization working with REALTORS®, and other Real Estate professionals providing them services and support. We are a very community orientated company.

After doing some research on the company I found out that the area they were located in was famous for hot-air balloons. The old company logo also featured a hot-air balloon, so I decided to work with this concept.

I was contacted by a iPhone app developer from Dublin who was looking for an icon to be designed for an app he was working on:

The client wanted a logo that was young and colorful.

Client brief:

I need a logo for my new web shop. The name of my shop is “Kleintier-Bistro”, which literally translated means “Little Pet Bistro”.

Some background information: The items that are sold in this shop are food and accessories for little pets, eg. rabbits, guinea-pigs, hamsters, mice, chinchillas, rats, degus and birds. The emphasis is on healthy, species-appropriate food. The ingredients are e.g. dried vegetables and fruits, flowers, hay and herbs. Apart from this you can also buy food bowls and special storage boxes as well as wooden toys for the animals. The positioning of the shop is in the premium segment, so the design should be premium like, too with not too many different colors. The target customer is not the usual animal holder but the one who cares especially about his pets, and who is not too price sensitive.

What I want: As the content is based on natural materials I would like the logo to match with this. The shop system is not yet built completely and so the colors are not defined yet. They can be adapted to the logo later on. The name “Kleintier-Bistro” shall appear in the logo. There is no special font necessary, however, the written word must be of course legible. I have called the shop “bistro” in order to point out the emphasis on food.

What I don’t want: Please do not use any comic figures like a laughing rabbit with a carrot or so. The shop shall have a serious image and so the logo shall be serious, too. Schemes of animals would be ok.

What the logo will be used for / “technical data”: First of all, the logo will of course be placed on top of the website, as header for the shop. Apart from this, it should be used for printed documents such as stationary, business cards and stickers.

I wanted to make a simple logo, using images of small animals (rabbits, birds, rodents etc). These are the two concepts I came up with:

We are creating a new company online that allows consumers to opt into control groups to monitor buying habits.

Client Brief:

We represent many larger firms who do tons in email marketing.

The control groups will be cut into 4 segments. 4 different types of email creative’s and content will be developed and sent to the control group segments.

What’s in it for the consumers who participate in the control groups are deals beyond good.

We would like this logo to be very clean and professional. It will also be used in the website banner.

For this logo I tried to incorporate two concepts: the company tagline of “Just be normal” and an emphasis on the number four as seen in the brief. This is the concept I came up with:

Client brief:

Business and Personal Results Coaching firm, Vivid Epiphany, needs a “brand identity” which includes logo and font.

I like color, and everything we use also has to look great in grey scale. My competitors use a lot of soothing blues and green. I like oranges, reds, purples.

Our unique selling proposition is Brain-based coaching, which uses the latest in neuroscience to create an environment conducive to ah-ha moments (e.g. vivid epiphanies). The vision for the company is to create communities where people can find and connect their vision and values with their passion and purpose. We evolve what is into what could be by using focus and attention to create energy, power and lasting change.

We’re a trusted partner to our clients, and I want our branding to say that.

Our target customers are managers, executives and business owners who are successful and want to take it to the next level using leadership.

I wanted to use a light-bulb or exclamation mark for this logo, to represent the “ah-ha moments” mentioned in the brief. These are the concepts I came up with:

For this logo, I went with a concept that portrayed an earth theme. By using ordnance survey maps and diagrams of cross sections of the earth for reference I came up with these ideas:
