Art colour schemes from memory — Project

I started this project when I was thinking about the differences between my tastes in art and my tastes in graphic design. When it comes to design, I’m a big fan of clean, minimalist work, whereas with art I tend to favour really dark/morbid unclean pieces.
With that in mind I started to wonder how to juxtapose them both, and the following is what I came up with. I used what I could remember from the colour schemes of some of my favourite paintings and applied them to a simple graphic design. Voilá! The links to the paintings are below the images.
